An Outdoor Christmas

We will be without any sort of traditional family gathering for Christmas this year.  Normally, we'd we gather with Jimmy's extended family the weekend before Christmas.  This year, we got together on the deck to exchange gifts with him parents.  I figured we might as well dress up since we've got the fancy dress.  Esme thought she looked so pretty (I did too!)
Esme was able to pretty quickly mastered unwrapping with her mittens on.  Grandma Cherry did another amazing job on their pillow cases.
Both kids got some new wheels, a skateboard for Parker and scooter for Esme.
You know you are a real adult when you get excited about a new toaster!  We've had our since we got married and it's been used nearly every day for the last 7 years.  It's been toasting pretty unevenly, so it was time for a new one.
Peppa stickers (that are already all over her room) and a new pizza shirt for Parker.  You can never have too many pizza clothes.
Jimmy got some kind of fancy breaker bar that he's very excited about!
Esme has been really in to board games, so it was nice to boost our stash.
Esme also added to her Cabbage Patch Pals collection with Ruby Fox.  We will need to get them all gathered up soon.
The big hit was Parker's new RC 4-wheeler.  There was a bit of trial and error to get the controller paired, but then we were off to the races!  I love that it matches his 4-wheeler.
We also helped facilitate a surprise from Grandpa to Grandma.  He had stowed her new bike in our garage a couple weeks ago.  I gussied it up with some ribbons and lights and Parker helped present it to her.  She was so happy.
Thanks for making our "unprecedented" Christmas just as wonderful as always!
Christmas break has begun, so we are looking forward to more holiday fun!
