Cornerstone Night Out - Bowlero

It's spring break week and while we don't have too much planned (wink wink), our church did host a family fun night at a local bowling alley.  Parker has been a couple times, but this was Esme's first time.  THey both had a great time and enjoyed figuring out the best way to get the ball down.  We started with the ramp, but they both decided to just try throwing it.
I'd say it was a decent showing from all of us!
They also have an arcade and we got some free play cards as part of the deal.  As a bonus, Wednesday night is half off all games!  It was fun to try things out without thinking about the cost.
Esme had fun running around with her friends.
Parker's favorite part may have been the brownie at the end!
I think we will definitely come back on our own!

Happy Birthday Jaxxon and Jameson!

Sunday was Jaxxon and Jameson's birthday party at the water park.  It's probably been about 13 years since we were here for Jayden's 7th birthday.
After about an hour, we took a break for pizza and cupcakes.
I tried a pull apart cupcake cake for the first time and it works so well!  This might be a go to moving forward.  Easier to decorate, transport, serve, and eat!
Happy birthday boys!  Thanks for including us in your celebration.

Snow, Swimming, Cousins, and Palm Sunday

We finally got a little more snow.  It started as we were heading to swimming lessons last week.
My mom picked up the kids at our house Friday before Jimmy and I headed to our night away.  She had Jaxxon and Jameson along and Esme didn't know they would be there.  Here is the video of her coming home and finding out.  She was so excited!
The boys love all of the cars and vehicles we have to push around.
We celebrated Esme passing level 1 of swimming lessons with a trip to Dairy Queen and both kids helped celebrate Palm Sunday at church.  This is one of my favorite annual traditions.
We snuck in some play time in the snow before it melts again.

Celebrating 15 Years of Marriage

Jimmy and I will be celebrating 15 years of marriage next week.  We originally planned an epic Mediterranean cruise for August, but war in the middle east cancelled it.  We may still do something with out time off in August, but are celebrating closer to home.  Back in 2017 we stayed at Radisson Blu MOA.  We decided to do that again for this.  After checking in, we headed in to the mall to have dinner at Bubba Gump.
We shared shrimp cocktail and shrimper's heaven.  All the shrimps!!
We did some window shopping after dinner.  It looks like Toys R Us might be making a comeback!  We've seen pop-ups in department stores, but this was a free-standing location.
We finished the night with dessert at Cold Stone.  For breakfast, we walked over to IHOP.  There aren't a ton of nearby options and most of the mall shops don't open until 9 or 10.  It was clear by how busy it was that others found the same issue.
We finished out celebrating with a trip to St. Paul to see the Wild play St. Louis.  It's been quite a few years since we sent to a game, so it was fun to be back.
In one of the silly "pick a section to win" things, OUR section was picked and we all got a can of Red Bull!
It was a fun, close game, but they lost in Overtime.
Happy Anniversary babe, we are officially a cranky teenager!
