Jacksonville - Part 2

We were on the sand by 10am Tuesday.  The waves were a bit rocky, but we still managed to have some fun.
The boys seemed to mostly love the waves and splashing.  they really wanted to run free, but we had to keep them close by.
Esme got knocked down good a few times.  She took a little sand break after each, but came back to the water.  She didn't get much deeper than her ankles when we were in Myrtle Beach, so this was a big improvement.
Jimmy is somewhere in the big wave on the right side of this picture.  I got tossed once myself.
We headed back to the house for lunch and more relaxation.
There was a PS5 in the bunk room and Esme played a little Spiderman.
We were just north of the famous TPC Sawgrass golf course.  My dad, Jimmy, Parker, and myself took a little drive down there in the hopes of seeing something, but we didn't get much further than this sign.  A fun outing none the less.
We played more in the pool and putting green area before sitting down to enjoy ribs for dinner.
Wednesday was a rainy and windy day as Hurricane Idalia made landfall in western Florida.  It intensified rapidly to a category 4 hurricane, but it's trajectory pushed further north.  We were still able to swim in the pool as the screen offered some protection, but there were some flying and falling things outside the screen.
The boys found many ways to entertain themselves, but the rest of us had fun in the game room.
We were able to give Parker a change of scenery with a walk in the afternoon.  You can see some debris here, but a lot had already been cleaned up by one of the residents.  We saw him walking all over the place with a leaf blower clearing stuff.
Wednesday was my night to shine in the kitchen.  I made fettuccini alfredo with chicken and shrimp.
The in-laws always have the most fun, right?
