April and May 2021 Hodgepodge

Here are some of our other spring happenings.  I planted hyacinth and daffodil bulbs in the fall and they started popping up.  Only four daffodils came up originally, but the fifth is finally coming up.  My purple and gold Vikings vision is becoming reality.
Parker's school did a post-winter garbage clean-up for Earth Day.
Esme finished up her sports class and keeps asking when she can go back.
My dad's latest idea for a shirt was a play on the Big Ten logo.  Since there are 14 teams in the conference, the shadow is "14."  We started with a small image on the back of his existing shirts, then made a new shirt with a large one.
My work had an employee appreciation taco truck a few weeks ago.  I had Parker home with me, so we grabbed some lunch.  He spotted a big fan and really wanted to plug it in, but couldn't.
We've been doing more baking since Esme has been asking about it.  We made her chocolate chip cookie bars from her school cookbook (she didn't like them, haha!)
We also made some peanut butter oatmeal cookies that were incredible!
We got together to celebrate my brother's birthday and Jimmy got to try his first White Claw!
It's not a birthday without cake. Yum!
We are loving the warmer weather and playing outside at home.  Now that they both have a hot rod to ride, it looks like we'll have a good dirt path in the front yard.
