Esme is 8 months old today. She continues to get better at sitting, but still tumbles eventually. Most of the time she falls to the side, catches herself and rolls to her tummy. She is getting more curious every day and likes to explore anything she can get her hands on. She is mostly a good sleeper, but has been regressing a bit and has been stubborn about going to bed. She also wakes up a few times a night but can usually be soothed with her pacifier. Every once in a while (like last night) she wakes up at 2 am ready to party.
She currently weighs about 20.5 lbs and I am glad she is slowing down a bit. She still wears all 9 month clothing except a few pairs of jammies. Some things are getting snug, so we will have to stock up on bigger clothing soon (hopefully Christmas helps with that!) We have moved to size 4 diapers during the day and they seem to fit a lot better. She is still eating 8 oz of formula 5 times per day and usually gets at least one meal of solids. She is officially up to 4 teeth with 2 more ready to pop on top. She loves to laugh with her brother and anyone who will play. She is making more and more noises every day and I can't wait to see her language blossom. We got a walker given to us so we took it to my parents. It is nice to have a upright spot for her there. It is hard to move around on the carpet, but she has really started to figure out how it works on hard surfaces. She was going all over the place.
We had a fun photo shoot with the Christmas tree this week. I am pretty happy with the results despite the artificial light.
I can't wait to celebrate her first Christmas!
