We were invited to a welcome fall party at the home of some new friends. We connected in a Facebook group for autism parents and learned we lived close to one another. We had a few meetups at the park and it's been really nice getting to talk to another parent in our shoes. They had an indoor swing that Parker loved. Dylan did very well sharing his toys with all the other kids.
There were only 4 entries in this chili cook-off and I liked my chances. There were also some adorable autumn cupcakes and cookies for the kids to decorate.
I did end up taking the win by 1 vote and got a sweet Bean Boss plaque (even though it was beanless chili!)
A fun evening meeting new people.
