Bayfield 2018: Part 2

We arrived just before 10am and bundled up.
We took our obligatory pictures on the pier and with this pedestal that I've never actually read.
My favorite part of Apple Fest is always the food.  We started with an apple brat with apple mustard, as always. Then we got apple cinnamon mini donuts for the kids.  They could spot them a mile away!
We solidified breakfast with a big helping of cheese curds!
We spent the next couple hours browsing the shops and tents.  Parker loved spinning the DNR wheel and earned an Apostle Islands button.
We caught the marching band show at noon.
Jimmy with his sisters and parents.
More food to close out our trip to Bayfield. Hot apple pie ala mode, spinach and artichoke grilled cheese, footlong hotdog, and sliced apples and caramel.
Green Mill used to have a truck there, but haven't the last few years so the kids got a cheeseburger (which Esme plowed!) and chicken strips instead.
They were also given some cute apple balloons.  They lasted about 94 seconds before being destroyed.  Just enough time to get a picture.
We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening relaxing, swimming, and relaxing some more.
We grabbed a quick breakfast Saturday morning and hit the road for home.
There were some really beautiful colors along our drive this year.  It's usually the only chance I get to see a lot of fall foliage and it did not disappoint.  Until next time Wisconsin!
