Owl City's Cinematic Tour was announced in April and I was ecstatic! It was at the historic First Avenue in Minneapolis. This was my first time seeing a show there and it was a great venue. We arrived about 15 minutes before doors opened and grabbed a spot in line. We ended up chatting with a mom and son who had travelled from Bemidji. The son, David, was 15 and had been diagnosed with autism at a young age. They shared all the great progress he had made and how much their Christian faith helped them. They ended up praying for us and for Parker right on the sidewalk. It was such a blessing to both of us. It was slow going to get in, but the show wasn't delayed too much.
Jimmy spotted some older folks in chairs upstairs and we anchored right behind them in hopes they would stay seated. They did and we had a perfect view for the whole show.
Matt Thiessen and the Earthquakes were the opening act. He did 5 or 6 acoustic songs with a fun kitschy vibe.
Adam had a great flow to the show and started with several instrumental solos. Here are some still shots and there is a video compilation at the bottom.
Another great show from Adam Young, thanks for coming out with me on work night Jimmy!
