On Wednesday, we drove up to Brainerd to spend a couple nights at a waterpark hotel. The kids were so excited to go swimming!
We grabbed some supper on the way up and were able to get our suits on right away. They have a huge water play structure, giant dumping bucket, lazy river, and water slides.
Parker really loved this area because there were lots of wheels to turn water on and off.
We had hotel breakfast which wasn't the most ideal for our kids, but they ate. I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy.
We headed in to town to stop at Knotty Pine Bakery. I have a friend from high school that works here, but it currently out on bed rest for her pregnancy.
Esme got a whoopie pie and parker got a chocolate donut.
Round two at the pool was Thursday morning. The big slides weren't open, but we had plenty of fun with the other parts.
We had lunch at McDonald's and the kids got to explore the playplace.
Round 3 was Thursday afternoon.
We rested and watched some baseball before going out to pick up pizza for supper, which ended up being a Domino's inside a Walmart, who knew?!?
Our final round of swimming on Thursday night. The kids really figured out the water slides by this point and we actually sent them up together, without us. Esme was a great helper making sure Parker waited to go. They even went together on a double tube,

Our drive home included a stop in Clearwater for giant Nelson's donuts! An pretty great spring break without leaving the state.
