We've finally gotten some swimming weather and the kids couldn't be happier! Ground water this time of year is so cold, but neither kid seemed to mind very much. We also discovered that our current pool has a very small leak in the top ring, so we started looking for a new one, but they are hard to come by with everyone staying at home. Luckily, a friend from church had one they weren't using anymore, so we will hopefully be set for the rest of the summer.
I made some s'mores after we grilled the other night. It was definitely the first for Esme and probably for Parker too. Esme has been talking about them non-stop since then, so we've made a couple in the microwave too.
And we have finally come to the end of the school year. Schools were closed almost 3 months ago and it feels like a lifetime some days. I know I wasn't able to provide Parker with the education he really needs, but we did our best. We are so grateful for the amazing teachers and staff at his school and really hope we get to go back in the fall. We found out he will have the same teacher next year, which I think will be a big benefit considering how this year ended. We did an end of year pick up and his teacher and paras came by to say hello and drop off a gift. We've been seeing each other on Zoom, but it was nice to see them in person.
