I can't believe we are at the end of the year already. I've got a second grader and a MIDDLE SCHOOLER. Let's take a moment and breathe through that thought.
First day and last day of 2022-2023 school year.
Esme had a bit of a rough run the last couple days. She came home Monday not feeling well, complaining of ear pain. She threw up about 10pm as well. Jimmy took her to the doctor on Tuesday and it turns out she has swimmer's ear, an infection of the outer ear canal. That was definitely the source of her ear pain, but didn't explain the nausea. I am starting to think she may have a bit of anxiety induced nausea because this isn't the first time it's happened. We got her some ear drops and she wanted to power through for the last day.
Unfortunately, I got a call from the nurse about 10:30 that she was still in pain and had a low grade fever. I picked her up and she spent the rest of the day on the couch with me.

They both got a fun end of year gift.
Esme has been talking about having a Super Mario Bros movie night! Not long after, she was out like a light. The sickies really took her energy.
We are hopeful the medicine will kick in quick and she'll be back to herself.
