Esme chose to have a Bluey birthday party this year, so I leaned a little in to an Australian theme since that's where the show originates.
I made blue punch and a Bluey cake. I also had a plate of fairy bread which is a cake alternative at kid's parties down under.
The show opener features all 4 family members dancing, so Esme requested we have a dance contest. She got to be the judge and chose the winner. We did three preliminary groups and one final group.
Aunt Julie was the grand champion dancer. Chuck and Phyllis weren't able to come, but did stop by to say high for a moment. Esme got a great picture with her birthday buddy!
After burning some dancing energy, we prayed and had lunch.
I made sausage rolls, vegemite cheese scrolls with :"cheese and crackers", veggies and chips.
Bring on the cake and presents!
Esme had so much fun playing with all of her new gifts.
She got some giant coloring sheets and pulled up the specific scenes to make sure she got all the colors right.
Thank you so much to all the friends and family that helped us celebrate Esme turning 6!
