The winter that wouldn't die seems to have finally ended and I have officially called the beginning of parker season. We have been a couple times this year already, but I think we are in for the long haul now. I would like to start exploring more parks near our new neighborhood. We visited this one Friday night. It is less that two miles from home and has some fun features. We grabbed some dinner at McDonald's then headed this way. They have a fun baby/toddler swing were you can ride with your child (or sibling in our case) Both Parker and Esme thought it was funny to be swinging together.
Esme had no fear and climbed straight up the big structure and down the big slide. She even figured out how to use her feet to slow down a little bit. That was good because she would have flown right off if she hadn't.
Parker has also recently learned how to pump on the swing. He still likes to get a big push to start, but will keep himself going. There was a time we thought he might never go on a big swing. We are so proud of him. Esme got distracted by some boys playing basketball as we were getting ready to leave. We could tell she wanted to go grab the ball and play along.
Happy park season Minnesota!
