Another softball season started for Esme in April and opening day was on Saturday. My dad turned a wooden bat on his lathe and it's really cool. She won't be able to use it in a game, but it's will be fun to practice with.
She has already been playing some infield this year in practice and during the scrimmage which is really exciting for her.
Their nickname is Sour Patch Kids so I enlisted the services of ChatGPT to make a fun dugout sign.
They played (and won) two games on Saturday.
Jimmy is volunteering as a dugout dad again and it's so fun watching him and Esme bond over their love of the game.
