St. Louis: Part 1

We made a quick weekend trip to St. Louis to catch a Twins game.  We planned to hit Chicago too, but needed to be back home for tech rehearsal on Monday.  We drove most of the way on Friday after the kids got out of school.  We packed dinner, but did stop at Crumbl for Jimmy to get his cookie fix.
We finished the last 90 minutes of the drive Saturday morning and made sure to stop at Krispy Kreme so we could all get out donut fix!  Can't be mad when the hot light is on.
Our hotel room wasn't ready by the time we arrived, but I was able to talk the front desk agent in to letting us access the pool before the game.  It was the only thing Parker had been talking about for hours.
In true Buxton fashion, Esme found a new friend who was also from MN.
Our hotel was in a perfect location so we were able to walk by the arch before heading to the stadium.
Esme has been learning about the Mississippi River and St Louis in school and was very excited to take pictures to share with her class.
I love this picture of Jimmy and Parker. It feels like it could be their hip hop album cover.
Next Stop: Busch Stadium
It was cloudy and a little breezy, but the rain was gone and We had some great seats.
Esme started things strong with some helmet ice cream. While I got some chicken tenders.
Like many other venues these days, they had a sensory room.
It was really well located and insulated to deaden the sound of the game for those who needed it.  There was a separate area with a bean bag and weighted blanket.
Parker loved the drawers with fidgets the most.
They aso have a huge covered play structure.  Parker was excited to play, but was too tall.  This was the first time we has to tell him he couldn't participate.  He took it really well and Jimmy was able to redirect him quickly.
Esme had a blast playing.
We walked around a bit and grabbed some seats in the outfield to watch the rest of the game.
Parker enjoyed taking pictures of the clock and we walked past the giant Commissioner's Trophy on the way back to the hotel.
