9 Months!

Parker hit the big 9 month mark today!  He is continuing to develop well and is learning new things every day.  He has popped 4 more teeth since his 8 month update.  I am starting to miss his toothless grin a bit...

We went into his doctor's appointment yesterday hoping he had gained a decent amount of weight.  Unfortunately his percentile dropped again (just a bit though.)  His official stats were:

Weight: 17 lbs. 3 oz. (6%)
Length: 29" (75%)
Head Circumference: 18 1/4" (80%)

We knew going into the appointment that we may have to get some blood tests done if he didn't increase his weight enough.  So, he had his very first blood draw done.  It was so hard to see his elbow getting poked.  He was a little scared and I am sure it hurt a little.  Mama shed a lot of tears with him.  He was quite the trooper, all things considered.  They are testing for kidney function, Celiac disease and a few other things.  His low weight is most likely a result of CONSTANT motion, but they are taking some precautionary steps to make sure nothing is wrong.  We had some extra cuddles before packing up to go home.  He took a snooze on the ride home and stayed pretty mellow for the rest of the night.
That's it for now.  I will try to take some fun pictures this weekend.  See you all soon!

  1. Wow! He must have a lot of teeth! None here yet and she'll be 9 mo on the 7th. I wonder if they'll all come in at once!
