First Scheels Trip

We made our first trip to Scheels!  I somehow just learned they have an indoor ferris wheel that you ride for just a buck!  Talk about a great place to take Parker since he already loves sporting goods stores. This is among sporting goods stores royalty!
It's attached to Eden Prairie mall so we stopped in the food court for dinner.
Then Esme spotted some bungee jumpers and wanted to give it a go!

Trunk or Treat 2025

We made a glorious return to hosting a trunk at church this year. In reality, Esme decided 3 days before that we should host a K-Pop Demon Hunters trunk. The wheels started turning quick with what I could pull off in a short time.  Before we finished our drive home, "Golden" came to me.  The dollar tree came in clutch with golden decorations and I cut out some black letters.
Here is a look at some of the other displays.
It was another beautiful day in the 60s. I was ever worried we might get sunburned.  Esme did a great job handing out candy to the thousands of visitors.

Coremark Metals Fall Fest

My work hosted their first annual party since 2019 on Saturday.  It was a fall fest theme at Deer Lake Orchard.
Some tasty metal themed specialty cocktails.
Photo booth with Rick and Heidi.
We got to enjoy the many attractions on site including the jumping blob and inflatable slide.
I really loved this old propane tank decoration.
Big Bore catered the event and it was so delicious!  We also had a DJ and karaoke!  Jimmy and I kicked of the festivities and so many other followed! It was such a fun evening!

Fascia Repair Project

This is a long overdue project that I finally started tackling in July.  I noticed a slight sag in our fascia board a couple years ago and it got worse last year.  I did have someone come out for a quote not really knowing what the issue was.  They said it looked like it wasn't the trusses (a very good thing) and just eh fascia board pulling away from their connection points to the trusses.  Now you gotta understand that this was 50' of boards overlapping to create a single unified piece.  I was very nervous about getting it down without damaging the house.  I managed to remove the gutter and metal trim myself.  Then my dad came over with a couple ladders and we got to work.  We made an initial cut where it was sagging the worst and used bungees to prevent it from falling.  Within a couple hours we were able to safely remove the entire fascia board.  Once that was complete, we made a plan for installing a new one.  All but one truss end was in great shape. We took some measurements and ran to Menards for supplies to keep going.
We deciding added boards between every other truss would be the best option. This would create significantly more surface area to attach the fascia to.
Well deserved break!
Then we added the fascia boards to new braces.
I saved the soffit and was able to reinstall it, but needed to get new fascia trim.
After a couple week break I finally got that installed and a new gutter was installed this week.  (I forgot to get a picture before it snowed and this post is backdated.). We are very happy to have this project completed!
