Back in March I won a gift certificate for the Radisson Blu - Mall of America at my company's employee appreciation party. We decided to wait until we were settled from the move to use it. It had to be used in one stay, so I booked a junior suite. This was definitely the nicest room I have stayed in. We checked in right after leaving the cross country meet.
It is connected directly to the Mall of America, so we did some window shopping. The iPhone X was released on Friday which made the Apple Store our first stop.
We grabbed and early dinner at Cadillac Ranch and dessert at Cold Stone
Right at closing time there is a light and smoke show in Nickelodeon Universe. It was only about 5 minutes, but we are never at the mall this late. The kids seemed to have a lot of fun dancing.
The lobby has some really neat hanging lounging beds. They were kind of tear drop shaped and it was fun to hang out for a bit before going back to our room.
We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, FireLake Grill House. It had a great Minnesota, north woods kind of vibe. I had the sausage skillet and Jimmy had the avocado benedict.
We checked out the sea salt pool before checking out. Another first, with the in house robes and slippers!
Not the greatest view, but it was a great stay! Hopefully we will be back again someday.
