Super Bowl, Fondue, and More Valentines

We did some simple appetizers for the Super Bowl this year.  Bacon wrapped asparagus, sloppy joes, and spinach and artichoke dip.
Esme has been wearing her tutu almost non-stop, even to bed.  I gave myself a new manicure in honor of the second week of the olympics as well.
We had our small group on Valentine's night, so all we did was get some Crumbl cookies.  Esme loved the spinkles.
We made up our typical fondue dinner last night with my co-worker and friend, Rick.  He isn't super adventurous with food, but gave it his seal of approval.
Jimmy got to show off his PS5 as well.  Rick is a big car racing fan, so he will have to come back over when the Gran Turismo comes out.
We got a couple new trains for our Geo Trax and the kids had fun playing with those.
Grandpa and Grandma Herrmann stopped by with some late Valentine's Day treats for the kids as well.  Esme was more than happy to chomp down her chocolate frog.

Kelsey's Baby Shower

My baby nephews will be here before we know it!  This weekend they had a big diaper shower party on Saturday and family baby shower on Sunday.  I made some poop cupcakes for Saturday because "$#!?'s about to get real."

Kelsey's mom hosted the family shower on Sunday with an elephant theme.
Parker got to hang out with grandpa while the ladies had fun.  Kelsey's grandma and sister on the right.
We started with brunch that had mini egg bakes, fruit, charcuterie, yogurt, deviled eggs, and more.
There were these adorable elephant diaper cakes.  The elephants played peek-a-boo with their ears.  Esme wanted to listen to the babies playing in Kelsey's tummy.
After eating we played a few games.  Price is Right trying to guess the total price of all the items at Target.
Then we all cut yarn to guess how big her bump was.  I think I was the only one that guessed under.
There were two other little girls close to Esme's age and they had a vlast playing together.  Here they are pretending to be dogs, Esme is howling.
Next up was presents.  She got so many cute outfits and baby essentials.  She should be ready for these babies to come now!
No party is complete without dessert.  Esme had a mini bundt cake, cupcake, and a cookie!  I thought the sugar would wind her up, but she fell asleep on the way home.  Such a fun afternoon celebrating Kelsey and the babies.

Happy Valentine's Day!

The week leading up to Valentine's was pretty fun.  Esme brought home a heart music note for us to decorate and send back.  These are little love notes to our kids that will be displayed at school.  The kids' valentines this year are Dino-Mite!
We celebrated National Pizza Day mid-week, Parker's favorite holiday!
Friday was PJ day and "read with a flashlight" day for Parker at school.
Friday was also Esme's friendship day party.  I stuck with the dinosaur theme and made her an adorable shirt to go with her tutu.
I helped her decorate a box for her party and she came home with quite the haul from her classmates.
We won't be doing our traditional fondue on Monday because we have our small group, but do plan on having it some time this week.

Olympics Kick-Off, Showers, and More

The Olympics started this weekend and we know how much I love them!  I made some Chinese food for supper on Friday for the opening ceremony.
Parker's Phy Ed class had their own olympics activities this week as well. The bobsled picture is my favorite.
I attended a bridal shower at church for Katelyn, who is marrying our pastor's son, Daniel.  It was so fun to socialize with friends from church after such a long break.  We will be going back in person soon and I can't wait.
Esme has been doing a lot of pretend play at home.  She made a library in the living room with signs for "No Yelling" and "No Taking Other People's Books."  She also made us each a library card.
I love this one she made to make sure Parker knew he wasn't "aloud" in her room. Haha!
My brother's babies are due to arrive in a couple months, so shower prep is in full force for them as well.  I made him a t-shirt and also put vinyl on 60 koozies and designed favor labels for little liquor bottles.  We dropped them off with my parents and Nana gave Esme a new manicure and pedicure.  I will also be making cupcakes later this week for Saturday's party.
