JDRF One Walk Minneapolis

Our whole family got up early Saturday to attend the JDRF One Walk at Mall of America.  My work has sponsored a team the last two years to support several employees.  We also walked in honor of our niece, Isabel.  The kids were great through the whole thing!
The mall opened shortly after the walk ended so we did a little shopping, played at the children's museum and grabbed lunch.  Esme still can't do a whole lot there, but she enjoyed playing in the castle.  I had to giggle when another parent asked if she was 4 months old!
She was so good on our outing, but got a little crabby once we home and I wanted to take her picture.  I suppose I was bound to get at least one or two weeks with tears.

Pallet Painting Party

My church hosted a pallet painting party with the folks from Creatively Tipsy on Thursday.  We were given two options when we signed up, but had the option to go rouge and do whatever we wanted.  It was a great night of fun and fellowship.
I invited my friend Daisy to come out and I think our pallets turned out great!

Weekend Wrap-Up

The rest of our weekend was pretty tame.  I took Esme's weekly picture before heading to St. Cloud for Pretzeldent's Day.
We did family dance night to Pat Benatar on Saturday!
Sunday was spent at home.  Parker had a great time wrestling with Esme.
We both had to work on Monday, but we did go to Fogo de Chao for restaurant week!  This is a fun tradition we have done the last few years and I hope we keep it up!

Pretzeldent's Day 2017

We fulfilled our patriotic duty (and filled our stomachs) by celebrating the 3rd Annual Pretzeldent's Day yesterday.
Presidential PEZ dispensers were added to the decorations this year.  A co-worker of mine saw them on Groupon so I forwarded the link to host Brianne!  She doesn't have all of them, but it's a good start.
Even the artwork in the room got a Presidential update!
There were a lot of fun game and activities including a sensory bin for the kids complete with pipe cleaner pretzels.
The sweet and savory pretzel buffet was in full force as always!
We finished up with Prezeldential fact or fiction, Pictionary, and Taboo.
We had several new participants this year and it was great sharing in the fun.
Happy Pretzeldent's Day!

Valentine's Day 2017

Valentine's Day was busy for us.  Jimmy and I both worked and Parker had therapy so we weren't all home until after 6.  We've made a tradition of fondue on Valentine's (2015, 2016) since Parker was born, but decided to try it another night.  I got Parker a balloon, candy, and nunchucks at Dollar Tree.  Jimmy has been talking about getting nunchucks for a while since Parker likes to whip things around.  These are plastic and foam so they will be pretty harmless.
I also made pink heart pancakes for dinner!
We got heart suckers from Phyllis in our small group the night before, which made for the perfect after dinner dessert.
Both Parker and Esme got a valentine and $1 in the mail from Grandma Bette and Parker also got a candy watch from a friend at therapy.
We did finally do a mini microwave fondue tonight.  So tasty!
Our day and week was filled we love, we hope yours was too!
