Christmas Day with the Buxtons

Merry Christmas!! The kids each got one present at home before heading back to Grandpa and Nana's house.  Matching dinosaur/taco jammies!
Once everyone arrived, we got to open our "Santa" bags.  We all got some goodies and gift cards.
We had an Italian lunch before opening the rest of the gifts.
Buffalo plaid all around!  We skipped getting Fleet Farm's Black Friday stuffed animal in 2019 and didn't go in 2020 due to Covid, so I found them on eBay for Esme to give to grandpa.  He was very excited to complete our 6 year series.  Victoria (llama) and Venison (deer) will be living at our house.
Grandpa used his lathe to turn snowman ornaments for all the grandkids.
My brother and his girlfriend, Kelsey, are expecting twins this spring.  They all got pretty spoiled this year.  I've made stocking for everyone else in the family, so I made one for the three new members.  I will add names once the boys are here.
I also made some cute motorcycle onesies as well.
We relaxed after presents with a soak in the hot tub and naps.
So happy to have all of us together again and looking forward to two new little ones joining us soon!
Merry Christmas!

It's Almost Christmas!

The final week of stocking gifts!  I filled the kids after we put them to bed Saturday night, but Esme came out and spotted them.  She was sad that my sock was empty and decided to put some stuff in it since dad hadn't yet.  The video below is her showing me all the cool things I got.  Esme got some silly scents colored pencils and a farm sticker book.
Parker got a pretty sweet new battery spinner in his stocking and I nabbed another one for free on my community Buy Nothing Facebook group.  If you haven't heard of these, you should look it up in your area.
Parker started feeling much better come Sunday.  He dug out some too small Chewbacca jammies to match.  I will have to try to find a larger size for him.
We had to postpone his second covid shot when he got a tummy bug (which ended up hitting at least a few families). Luckily, we were able to snag one for the following Monday. Jimmy took him this time and was able to get it done pretty quickly, but still had to give him a tight bearhug.
No Christmas potluck at work, but they did have a catered lunch on Wednesday of Buca di Beppo and dessert from Jimmy's favorite Crumbl.
I ate most of it before remembering to take a picture.
Our neighbor, Diane, called me on Wednesday as well to let me know she had some treats for the kids.  It ended up being a grocery bag full of candy, cookies, chips, and nuts.  I decided to fill up the kids stocking for a little extra surprise when they got home from school. Esme was so excited!
On Christmas Eve, Esme helped Jimmy make graham cracker cookies. and we decorated mini gingerbread houses.
We headed to my parents for soup supper that night.  We contributed a charcuterie board with a new cutting board I am "borrowing" from my dad.  Grandpa opened a present he got for himself to play with Esme.
"Four to Score" was a hit for Esme!

Herrmann Christmas 2021

We hosted Jimmy's family Christmas on Saturday.  Everyone was able to attend except Jimmy's oldest sister who wasn't feeling well.  Jimmy was working and didn't get home until 2:00.  We hung out for a while before opening presents.  The kids were spoiled as usual.
Parker got a new Chewbacca stuffy that is already a family favorite.
Esme added to her herd of Cabbage Patch Cuties with Sammy Sloth.
Jimmy's mom brough a brisket and we completed the meal with baked beans, roasted carrots, mac and cheese, and rolls.  Jimmy's oldest sister sent a salad and his middle sister brought chocolate pie and cheesecake.  Esme remembered the pie from Thanksgiving and was more than happy to help eat it.
We were so excited to be able to gather again to celebrate the holidays.
Merry Christmas Herrmanns, Chavezes and Schotenbauers!
