We survived the first week of school. The kids started on the same day this year, which made things easier.

Esme's first day of Kindergarten and First Grade
Parker's school start time is earlier this year which means no more morning adventure club. We will really miss the amazing staff that has worked with him over the last 5 years, but I plan to send them there on non-school days.
Both of them get to ride the bus to school this year, so it's our first time waiting at the bus stop.
Delays are to be expected during the first week as parents, students, and drivers learn new routines. We had a pretty big snafu the first day when Esme's bus completely missed us. I am pretty sure they didn't take the turn to our street and kept on going. Both arrived within 5 minutes of the scheduled time by Thursday. There is a great app I can track Esme's bus with, which is really helpful.
Esme's class did a fun activity on the first day decorating paper t-shirts. Her's had pizza and M & M's and a bunny.
We celebrated the end of the week with sprinkled donuts. I think it's going to be a great year!
