We spent Thanksgiving at my parents, as usual. Esme had quite the eclectic outfit that she wore to see Moana 2 that morning. We kicked off the pool tournament right away since we had a larger contingency this year.
Great Grandma Bette and Larry drove up from Nebraska to celebrate the holiday with us.
Jayden asked a few of us to play chess and only Esme took him up on the offer. If they play more I have no doubt she will pick it up quick.
We took a break for dinner in between games. We had smoked ribs and chicken with lots of sides. Parker even joined us at the table this year which was new for him.
By a little skill and a lot of luck Jimmy and I ended up on the championship and I took the title for my second time!
Esme has a big interest in playing and will start practicing in hopes she can play next year. Parker is officially taller than great grandma now. It was so fun getting an extra visit from her.
We finished the night with pie, 4 to choose from!
My dad and I renewed our Black Friday trip to Fleet Farm after he was off last year due to illness. It was a chilly one, but we got what we needed. This year's stuffy is a penguin that Esme named Flippy.
