Last Sunday we celebrated our good friend, Chuck Landon. It's been 60 years since he was ordained in to ministry. We had cake (that the kids didn't like) and a recognition of him during the service.
It has been such an honor to get to know Chuck and Phyllis over the last 9.5 years. They have become more like family than friends. My favorite part was when he shared the secret to reaching 60 years is staying alive! Congrats Chuck!
Jimmy and I prepared to head out of town on vacation on Wednesday and Esme decided that would be the night she would learn to ride her bike. We tried a bunch of different things to encourage her to ride, but she wasn't quite ready yet. We tried helping her again, but she wanted to do it all by herself. Here is a quick video showing her progress over about 40 minutes. She is so proud of herself and so are we!
She ended the evening with a game of Yahtzee with Grandma Herrmann. They all had a great time this weekend.
