Rick and Heidi's Wedding Weekend: Part 2

The kids got in one more swim before we needed to check out of the hotel.  We stopped at the park in town before having lunch at Culver's.  This was an ode to Rick since this was a big part of his nutrition pre-Heidi.
We had a little more time to burn after lunch and took a stroll around our favorite store, Menards!  Parker got himself a pre-wedding massage.  We got dressed in our fancy clothes here too.
Parker did pretty good sitting with his iPad during the ceremony.
The happy bride and groom!
Parker made sure to inspect the AC afterwards as well.
We burned a little more time before heading to the reception.  Most of the tables were full by the time we arrived, but we snagged #28 whihc was fun since that's our wedding date.
That ended up being the last table and we were called last for dinner, but it was worth the wait.  Along with chicken, they had pulled pork which Jimmy had.
We looked pretty dapper!
We changed quick before loading up and heading home.  Congrats Rick and Heidi!

Rick and Heidi's Wedding Weekend: Part 1

We took Friday off before the wedding to drive out to Watertown.  You already saw our visit to the orchard.  Esme and I grabbed some ice cream for our afternoon snack and Parker got some cookies.  We stayed at the waterpark hotel in town and the kids wasted no time diving in.  I love that both kids are big enough to swim independently now.
We met up with the wedding crew at Pizza Ranch for the rehearsal dinner. It's been ages since we've been here and it was so tasty!
They had an arcade at this location so we went and played a few games.
We played long enough to be ready for another round at the buffet before leaving.  Can't wait for the wedding!

Fall Harvest Orchard

On our way out to South Dakota we stopped at Fall Harvest Orchard We've never visited here before, but our road trip was a great chance for it and this one did not disappoint!  We started at the jump pillow then moved on to the corn pit.
I think I mentioned last year that Parker started calling corn pits "October" last year.  He started asking about "October" again this year and I new exactly was he meant this time.  This is a much smaller one than our typical patch, but still fun and it scratched his itch.
They had a large jungle gym that Esme enjoyed.
We grabbed some sprinkle mini donuts for a mid-morning snack.
Parker loved these pedal carts and was able to take a bunch of laps because it wasn't too busy.
This was the first time we got to interact with animals at an orchard.  They had grain and apples available to feed goats, pigs, and cows.
Parker even fed a cow!
Giant chair, train ride, culvert pipe horse, and apple spinner finished rounded out our visit and we finished at the giant slide!
It was a bit of a drive from home, but well worth it and we may come back again next year!
