June 2021 Hodgepodge

Here is a quick snapshot of the other happenings this month.  It was a hot one, so we were playing the water a lot.  We had the pool set up constantly for a couple weeks.

Both Esme and I were in need of haircuts so we went together.  We waited until our pastor's wife, Corie, was working and snagged a spot.  She cut her hair for the first time back in December 2019 and it hasn't been cut since.  It's been nearly two years for me too.  I probably would have brought her in sooner, but didn't feel the need to rush due to COVID.   She was pretty nervous, even after watching me, but was able to work through the fear with Corie's patience and ended up loving it.
She got an ice cream treat on the way home.  Jimmy is going to love an easier 'do to wash and brush and she is going to be much cooler this summer.
Summer adventure club started on the 14th.  Parker is having a great time and one of Esme's teachers, Ms. Amy, is one of his pod leaders.
They still aren't going on field trips, but are having a fun day each week.  They walked to the donut shop and had an ice cream truck come by.
We visited out friend, Sherry's, pool for the first time this year.
The kids were loving the pool , but the constant fighting was getting to be too much, so we are going to try playing in the sprinkler for a while.  It seems to be going better.  Esme had a bit of a scary incident at swimming lessons when she got a little too deep.  She was really timid the following week, but I am hopeful she hops back in next time.
Nana stopped by the week for some tech support and played cards with Esme.  She is so much fun!
July is lining up to be just as busy as June, so there should be lots of fun to share!
