Other Memorial Day Weekend Adventures

My aunt from New York was passing through on the way to her daughter's house in Montana.  We had supper and a campfire at my parent's house on Saturday night.  Now that both of the kids' vehicle are repaired, we brought them along.  I love that we can both of them in the back of the van, who needs a truck?  They loved having more space to cruise.
They got a twister ride before supper as well.
Campfire grilled chicken for the grown-ups, chicken nuggets and mac n' cheese for the kids.
It's probably been close to 6 years since I've seen my aunt, so we had a great time catching up while the kids went in the hot tub.
Esme made it known she was ready to go home by getting the van herself.
We spent Sunday afternoon at Target Field for our second game of the year.  Capacity limits have been increased and the mask mandate has been lifted, so it was the largest crowd we've been in for a while.  I continued to wear my mask in the concourse, but it was nice to have it off in our seats.  We were expecting it to get a little warmer throughout the game, but it stayed cool.  We don't normally sit in the outfield, but it was a nice change of pace for one game.
It wasn't a super entertaining game, but there were a pair of ducks that kept hanging out in the grass.
Here is the skinned knee I mentioned in the park post.
We went back to grandpa and nana's house Monday for a dip in the hot tub.
Then, on the way home, Esme told me she was going to pull her tooth out.  She's said this before when Parker lost teeth, so I didn't think anything of it.  But, she actually has her first loose tooth!  if you look closely, you can see one of the bottom ones is a little offset.  Parker didn't lose his first one until 7.5.  Esme is barely 5, so it's a surprise.  We will see if she keeps wiggling or lets it come out in it's own time.

My parent's came over to our house for supper Monday night.  We grilled burgers and had ice cream cones for dessert.
We also put the pool up again since it's heating up around here.  Looks like it will probably stay up for a couple weeks.
Hope you enjoyed your long weekend (if you got one) as much as we did.
