We scored some Krispy Kreme doughnuts through a local fundraiser at the beginning of the month. Two dozen was a lot, so we shared with my parents and Jimmy took the leftovers to work.
Esme hadn't said much about Parker's differences, but we decided to start looking for resources to talk to her about autism. Just the next day she made a comment about how he doesn't talk much. We pulled up a YouTube video that teaches kids about ASD and also ordered a book about it.
Parker has been having fun at school. He found a t-shirt buddy that loves pizza and chicken nuggets too. I sent him to school in shorts one day, but he still wanted to wear his boots, hat, and gloves. That's a MN kid if I ever saw one!
Esme's class has been learning about what animals make good pets. They finished the unit with a pet show and she got to bring a stuffed animal "pet." She brought Callie kitty and thought her nap time giraffe would make a good one too.
Parker's class celebrated the 100th day of school with cupcakes and "oldify" pictures.
We marked the one year anniversary of the pandemic being official with take-out from out favorite wing place. This was also where we ordered from for our first quarantine date night last March. It's a weird thing to celebrate since there were so many terrible things in the last year. But, we made it through. We survived it. If we've made it a year, we can make it the rest of the way.
Pi/e Day was on Sunday and we celebrated with pizza!
Finally, there was a St. Patty's Day celebration at school. Parker got more cupcakes and made a leprechaun mask. The green juice was not a big hit.
Esme had fun celebrating Green Day as well!
