Driving and Donuts

I forgot to mention that Parker tweaked something on his 4-wheeler a couple weeks ago.  I think he clipped our concrete steps in the front and bent a bracket on the inside of the wheel. (Bent on the left, straight on the right.)
This cause the wheel alignment to be way off.  Luckily, my brother is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to this stuff.  We dropped it off at his house and we was able to disassemble and straighten the bracket, so Parker is back in business.
We finally felt comfortable enough to make a quick stop at my parents to visit and give Parker some more land to roam.  We stayed outside and just let him ride.  He asked to go visit the cows, so we followed him over on the Twister.  It was so relaxing and made life feel normal, even just for an hour.  Our mental health has become more of a focus recently as we get a little stir crazy, but we want to do stuff like this in the safest way possible.
We got a return visit form them this week as well.  They have been looking to upgrade their 1994 Mazda Miata for a while and finally found the perfect deal.  I think this one is a 2008 and offers a lot of great upgrades from their previous one.  The kids and sit in it for now, but it will be a while before they get to take a ride.  Jimmy and I look forward to taking a ride too, but probably not until next year at the soonest.
Yesterday was National Donut Day! Our local Hy-Vee was doing a drive-by donut promotion where you could buy from your car.  There were out of the half-dozen by the time Jimmy arrived, so we got the full box.  The kids were more than ready to pick out their donuts of choice.
Yummy!
