Parker Emory - Very delayed post!

So I have been lazy in updating, but Parker Emory has arrived!  He was born on November 30th at 12:10 am via c-section.  We were admitted at 7:30pm on the 28th for some cervical preparation in hopes of inducing the morning of the 29th.  We went through two rounds of ripening before they were able to break my water.  Around 4 pm on the 29th I was finally being induced and labor was starting.  The contractions quickly intensified and I asked for some pain meds around 7 pm and by 8 I was in painless epidural bliss!  This allowed me to get some much needed rest as we had been there for over 24 hours with very little sleep.  About 11:30 pm the doctor came in and woke me up to discuss the baby's status.  After a contraction his heart rate was dropping (which is normal), then spiking back up (not normal!)  He was obviously experiencing some distress, but wasn't in immediate danger.  I asked what her recommendation was and she said she would do a c-section.  While I was a little bummed that we wouldn't be proceeding with labor I just wanted him to come out healthy.  They quickly started surgery preparation and Parker Emory joined us 40 minutes later!  Looking back I can't believe how quickly that time went, it was so exciting!  He was 7lbs. 2 oz. and 20 3/4 inches long.  And he was (and still is) the most beautiful baby ever!  The last 2 1/2 weeks have gone by too fast and it has been so much fun being a parent.  For the most part he is a very calm baby.  As long as he is fed and changed he is pretty content.  He is already sleeping for 4 hours at night which really helps out mom and dad!

Just arrived!

We had a newborn photo session done when he was 9 days old.  I am so happy with how they turned out!
