Journey to 100 Parks #81 - Timber Shores Park - Plymouth, MN

This was a cute woodsy themed (hence the "timber") playground in a neighborhood.
Key Features
I will be honest, just about all of us were crabby tonight which made for a rough start.  Esme insisted on wearing her crocs, then asked for her tennis shoes after getting there.  Luckily we brought them, but she complained the whole time changing her shoes.
She had a good time once she had the proper footwear.
Along with spinning things, Parker has been loving slides.  This triple slide wasn't as steep as most of them are which made for easy climbing.
The treehouse climber was my favorite feature and Esme liked it too.
Solid selection, 8 swings will do.

Journey to 100 Parks #80 - Manor Park - Robbinsdale, MN

This park also has a splash pad, which is great for the summer. We may have to come back again for that. I brought Parker here once or twice many years ago.
Key Features
Parker spotted the sky wheels right away. I am still impressed by how quickly he finds them even though I probably shouldn’t be.
There were tons of climbing options for Esme as well.
Nothing too special about this one, but enough to have a good time.

Journey to 100 Parks #79 - Jerry Ruppelius Park - Champlin, MN

We ventured north for a morning of fun and donuts.
Key Features
The kids insisted on wearing their crocs.  Of course they did not care for all of the sand that got in to them.  We will likely mandate tennis shoes moving forward, or at least bring them along.
This was a really large playground, but was in need of some upkeep and repairs.
As much as I dislike sand, Esme really likes to play in it.
This one probably would have received 9 or 10 in it's prime, but an 8 is a respectable rating.

Ladies Night at Target Field

We ran out of babysitter options for the Twins tickets we had last night, so it became ladies night.  My parent's were staying at a hotel downtown with a silent auction win, so we met them at a restaurant before heading to the stadium.  Esme got to stuff her face with french fries and it burned some time.
It was nice to arrive a little late since we probably weren't going to make it through the whole thing anyway.  We stopped for a picture with TC the statue then headed to our seats.
A snack and coloring got us through all of 1.5 innings which was fine since the real TC Bear was taking pictures at the kids play area in the third inning.
She waited very patiently in line and was a little shy at first, but then she sat down and gave a big smile.
She absolutley loved the little play area and there were TVs to watch the game on.
Back up the escalator on the hunt for some ice cream.
About and inning and a half more before she was ready to move again.  We stopped at the play area again then headed to the dugout box to visit my friend Rachel.  Esme was not having a picture, but we were able to sit in the nice seats for a bit.
We made it to the 7th inning stretch which I call a win.  Can't say at much for the Twins.  They tied it up in the bottom of the 8th, but ended up losing by 3.

And, don't worry about Parker and Jimmy, they went out for cupcakes!
